Studying the brain
My path has run from whiskers to monkeys to memory: imaging how touch spreads across rat cortex, helping bring optogenetics to primates, and recording hundreds of hippocampal neurons at once to watch rats replay paths they're about to take.

Deciphering hippocampal place codes in weak theta rhythms

Low-latency extracellular spike assignment for high-density electrodes at single-neuron resolution

Context dependent activity in rat hippocampus during performance of a three arm delayed sequence task

Oscillatory patterns in hippocampus under light and deep isoflurane anesthesia closely mirror prominent brain states in awake animals

Theta sequences are essential for internally generated hippocampal firing fields
