Heart-rate biofeedback

Streaming my own ECG from a chest strap to breathe in sync with my heart.

hardware · neuro

What it is

Streaming my own ECG from a Polar H10 chest strap to my laptop in real time, then building simple biofeedback displays on top of it: live heart rate, heart-rate variability, and a paced-breathing trainer.

How it works

Python reads the raw ECG over Bluetooth and plots it live. Tools include a breathing pacer with a coherence score, a resonant-frequency finder that steps through breathing rates to find the one that produces the largest heart-rate swings, and a session logger with event markers. MATLAB code detects R-peaks and P and T waves in recorded sessions.
